- 0.2-0.3 mm derma roller
This derma roller is the shortest microneedle roller, used to pierce the stratum corneum, creating numerous tiny channels that allow various skincare products to penetrate the stratum corneum and reach the epidermis, thus allowing better absorption of the skin. This length of microneedle can stimulate collagen regeneration, and thus doesn’t have the legendary scar removal and other effects.
Effect: punctures the stratum corneum, allowing the skin to better absorb skincare products.
Side effect: varying degrees of skin redness and slight stinging sensations.
Caution: use moderate force, avoid excessive force.
- 0.5mm derma roller
This microneedle roller is used to treat fine lines, UV damage, superficial scars and hyperpigmentation. It also allows thhe skin too absorb skincare products better and faster, providing better results.
Effect: puncture the cortical layer, treat fine lines, UV damage, scars.
Side effect: dry skin, mild pain, mild bleeding. Some people will be red and swollen with allergies.
Cautions: make sure the roller thoroughly disinfected and refilled in time.
- 1.5-2.0mm derma roller
This microneedle has been able to penetrate deep into the dermis, fairly close to the subcutaneous tissue, and cause much more damage to the skin than previously described. 1.5-2.0 mm microneedles are capable of treating many skin problems, but are not usually used on the face. Also not recommend for direct use by beginners.
Effect: treatment of wrinkles, stretch masks, minor to moderate scars……
Side effect: dry skin, minor bleeding, crusting, swelling and irritation.
Cautions: microneedle should be thoroughly sterilized before use, local anaesthetics should be used, recommended for use by professional medical institutions.
- 3.0 mm derma roller
3.0mm microneedles can pierce the skin in layers right through to the subcutaneous tissues and can therefore only be used in specialized medical facilities. At the same time, microneedles of this length can’t be used on the face, but only on body parts with thicker skin.
Effect: treatment of wrinkles, stretch masks, scars……
Side effect: dry skin, minor bleeding, crusting, redness and irritation.
Cautions: this microneeddle should only be used by a medical professional and must be aanesthetized. Other microneedles shouldn’t be used during the recovery period.
